PRESIDENT

Forensic Examiner, Senior

Alisha Mauro is from Latrobe, Pennsylvania and is a senior pursuing a degree in forensic examination and minor in psychology in the honors college. She has been a member of the club since the first semester of her freshman year, and being a member of the FIS club has helped her make connections to the world of forensic science in ways she didn’t even know existed prior to the club. Alisha completed an internship at the Franklin County Coroner’s Office in Columbus, Ohio in summer 2024 where she focused on death investigation. In the future, she would like to obtain her bachelor's degree and get into the FBI as a part of the evidence response team, or a crime scene investigator or evidence technician. Along with forensics club, she is a member of the psychology club, member of the unsolved case project undergraduate research team, historian of CHIMES junior honorary, communications chair of the Mortar board senior honors society, member of Delta-Delta Epsilon, Project 168, 168 Society, SecureWVU, and the student society for the advancement of biometrics. Outside of school, she works as a campus tour guide for high school students interested in WVU, loves to be outdoors and loves to read. She is ecstatic to be the president this year and hope to bring lots of fun activities for everyone to enjoy!
